Name:littleofboth
Birthdate:Jan 19
Anthony Blunt is a cool, calm man in his early forties, formally an agent for MI5 (at the time secretly working as a spy for the KGB) but at the time of arrival Surveyor of the King's Pictures. He has pale blond hair, blue eyes, is medium height, and is dressed in fairly expensive and formal but stylish clothing of the late 1940s/early 1950s. His manners and tone are aristocratic and oftentimes snobbish.

Anthony arrives on the island literally immediately after the ending of the miniseries Cambridge Spies. He was visiting his alma mater Trinity College at Cambridge University when he suddenly appeared here. Historically, his close friends Guy Burgess and Donald MacLean have just recently been forced to flee the country.

His personal inventory on arrival includes:
-1 long-sleeved collared shirt
-1 jacket
-1 pair brown trousers
-1 tan fedora-like hat
-1 tie
-1 vest
-1 overcoat
-1 gold watch
-1 silver cigarette case, containing approximately fourteen cigarettes
-1 lighter with ¾ fluid
-1 unedited, typewritten manuscript of “Art and Architecture in France, 1500-1700”

Since arriving on the island he has acquired:

- A large stack of books taken from the magical bookshelf in the rec room that includes:
- Art by Clive Bell
- What I Believe by Bertrand Russell
- Maurice by E.M. Forster
- To The Lighthouse and Orlando by Virginia Woolf
- Imperialism and Civlisation by Leonard Woolf
- The Victorians by Lytton Stratchy
- The Communist Manifesto
- The first two volues of Das Capital
- The Making of the English Working-Class by E.P. Thompson
- Winter Movement by Julian Bell
- A collection of essays by George Bernard Shaw
- Poetry collections of T.S. Elliot and Fredrico Garcia Lorca
- Middlemarch by George Elliot, with his ex-libris on the inside cover.
- some clothing of a similiar type to which he arrived; one or two pairs of tan slacks, a couple button-down shirts.

Anthony Blunt hails from the BBC miniseries Cambridge Spies -- and also Real Life (see disclaimer).

Disclaimer 1: I do not own Anthony Blunt. This version of him belongs to the BBC and the writers of Cambridge Spies. This is for my own entertainment at [info]the_blank_slate, [info]desperatescreen, and [info]fallen_apostles. Samuel West unfortunatly belongs to himself and not to me, either.

Disclaimer 2: Anthony Blunt really existed, one of a group known as the Cambridge Four (or Five, depending on what historian you ask), "the most notorious double-agents in British history." I am roleplaying a fictionalized version of him, and don't take responsibility for factual errors made by the writers and creators of Cambridge Spies. Those on the island who would be familiar with his historical personage, though, are free to know who he is and react accordingly.
